Sim kicks in the back door, weapon drawn, knocks a few guys around, and puts a call into the precinct to come pick up the thieves of the Maltese Llama. From somewhere inside comes the telltale sound of 'backroom' business - the draw of exspensive cigars, the slow rap of knuckles on wooden tables, conversation in hushed but serious tones. Not even the wind seems able to find it's way through the maze of tin cans and discarded newspaper. The alley behind the club is quiet, almost too quiet. So it was that Sim found himself, downtown on a cold and blustery afternoon, debating whether to sneak in through the club's back door or up the fire escape to a dimly lit window, left open despite the cold. Sally was the type of dame who knew things.the undercurrents of the city, the word on the street - and that some 'big deal' package had been delivered to the doorman at the 444 Club only a few hours earlier. It'd been as though someone was acting against him, predicting his every move, his every thought. He'd been on the case of the Maltese Llama for days without a single lead. Sim stood in the shadows behind the 444 Club, his breath hanging in the air. She sold off at the same price at which she bought in and broke even. As a result Moneywell Computers' stock, ticker symbol MWCP, is up 23% in heavy trading on the SimCity Exchange today." Sim's broker assured her that her new stock was a sure thing, but now it sounds a bit risky. Having just purchased two thousand shares in MoneyWell Computers on a tip from her broker, Sim heads to the corporate water cooler and overhears a conversation about the company: apparently, the military is about to award Moneywell a lucrative contract to provide all of the military's computers for the next ten years, but if Moneywell fails to get the contract they will be forced to declare banckruptcy and close their doors. Sim earns 1 Creativity skill point and a $2,000 bonus from the board members. The donation proves to be the most successful publicity campain the company has ever embarked upon, and the PR department issues a public statement that the donation is only the first of many ways they plan to give back to the city. Almost immediately, the news of the huge donation hits the wires, and the response is overwhelmingly positive. Truckload after truckload of talking stuffed llamas are delivered to the SimCity Children's Home. An opportunity arises to license the toys as the athletic mascot of the SimCity Llamas, but at this point Sim wonders if he shouldn't just donate the stupid toys to the SimCity Children's Home and cut his losses. Sim, on the advice of his sales team, acquired the rights from AlpacaSoft to be SimCity's sole distributor of the overstuffed talking toy, as the fuzzy llama was projected to be al the rage but actual sales haven't even come close to expected figures. Sim's warehouses are reporting a huge overstock of Llarry the Talking Llama. Sim recieves 1 Charisma skill point and is promoted to Executive Assistant. When news of the takeover spreads to the public, the investment in Wrightway Toys makes the company a small fortune.
